While their main website is down for a relaunch, the people of SMGO took to Tumblr to inform the masses that there’s a small spark of hope for YOUNG JUSTICE and GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES to continue. Specifically, the people behind SMGOtv are poised to launch a crowdfunded campaign (think Kickstarter) to save the two fan favorite animated shows but they must first receive the official OK from WB Animation. If they get approval, fans will be able to finance more material for the shows (episodes, OVA, film, etc.). If you want to see more YJ and GL:TAS then continue to make your voices heard right up till the April 11th meeting.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series executive producer Giancarlo Volpe shared the following on March 23rd.

CONFIRMED: YOUNG JUSTICE And GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Cancelled

A recent Press release omitted Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series from its returning show roster, leading to speculation the shows had been cancelled. Now, we have official confirmation that both shows will not return after their current seasons.

Earlier this morning, a press release was issued to boast Cartoon Network’s upcoming block of cartoons. New shows such as Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go! were on the release, but two glared out as missing, Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice. Speculation was that the shows would be ending their runs, and now Newsarama has confirmed from a source at Warner Brothers Animation that the shows will wrap up their runs at seasons end.

It is expected that Beware The Batman as well as Teen Titans Go! will take the place of the canceled shows. It should also be noted that Star Wars: The Clone Wars was excluded from the list as well. This was because the show, as expected with Disney’s acquisition of LucasFilm, will be making a transition to Disney programing.
